Professional Medical Assistant Program Gives Students Hands-On Experience

Student Jessycah Johnson, of the Voorhees campus, demonstrates an intramuscular injection

“Learning by doing” can be a great way to learn a new skill. At Harris School of Business, all of our programs feature hands-on experiential learning which helps prepare our students for the tasks and responsibilities they may face in the world of work.

At the Voorhees campus, one of our students in the Professional Medical Assistant Plus program was willing to demonstrate one of her newly-acquired skills for the camera. In this video, Jessycah Johnson demonstrates an intramuscular injection on an artificial arm.

Intramuscular injecton is just one of the many skills that students learn during their time in the Professional Medical Assistant program. Harris School is proud of Jessycah Johnson, and of all the students who have the courage to take on new learning experiences.

Harris offers an array of programs in the field of healthcare and allied health, including dental assistant, surgical technologist, certified nurse’s aide, health claims specialist, and massage therapy. You can choose from seven campuses located across the Delaware Valley, including campuses near Philadelphia, South Jersey, central New Jersey and Delaware.
