New York Giants or Philadelphia Eagles?

Students enrolled in career training at our Hamilton/Trenton campus got to wear their team colors on “Jersey Day”

Hamilton, NJ — Does anyone know where the dividing line is between North and South Jersey? What about the dividing line between Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants fans? The students at the Hamilton/Trenton campus of the Harris School of Business got to take part in this ongoing debate last week during the popular “Jersey Day” event.

On “Jersey Day,” students were encouraged to wear their favorite sports jersey instead of wearing their scrubs. But there was a catch. In order to earn the privilege of wearing their jerseys, they had to bring in a donation to the canned food drive. As it turned out, students weren’t the only ones to show up in their sports gear with their canned goods in hand. Faculty and administrators joined in the fun, and wore their team colors as well. And sure enough, there was a mix of Eagles, Giants, and Jets jerseys, and lots of good-natured debate about which team is the best.

Located about mid-way between Philadelphia and New York not far off Route 295, the Hamilton/Trenton campus is a perfect spot to see where North and South Jersey come together. And at the Harris School, the students truly do come together, (regardless of their sports loyalties). Whether it’s through school activities, study groups, or just talking in the lunch room, students at the Harris School find ways to be supportive of each other.

The Harris School is a career-focused school that provides career training programs in the fields of allied health and business management. Students graduate from the Hamilton campus ready to become medical assistants, massage therapists, health claims specialists (medical billers or coders), or computerized accounting technologists.

One of the notable aspects of the school is its “small-school feel.” Students and staff repeatedly remark that they feel they are part of a family when they are at the Harris School. Special events like “Jersey Day” are just one example of the many fun activities that are held to help students and staff to get to know one another during their career training.

So what was the result of this year’s “Jersey Day?” Well, sorry to say it, Eagles and Jets fans, but the Giants fans had you outnumbered. But one thing is for certain: New Jerseyans love to wear their jerseys!
