Q: How do I sign up to become a medical assistant?
A: Enrolling at the Harris School is easy. First, you need to have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Next you need to schedule a visit at our school to meet with an Admissions representative, who will walk you through the steps you need to take. We have new classes forming every 6 to 8 weeks. This means that you can apply at any time of year, and before you know it, your classes will be starting.

Q: How long does it take to become a medical assistant?
A: At the Harris School, most full-time students are able to complete the medical assistant training program in just under one year. To do this, you have to take your studies seriously, come to all your classes, and pass all of your exams. With the right attitude, you can do it!

Q: Are there part-time/evening options?
A: Yes! We offer night classes for many of our programs. Talk to our Admissions staff to find out what options you have for evening classes at the Harris School.

Q: Will I get a job?
A: As you near graduation, you will need to begin your job search. The Harris School supports its students in their job search efforts by providing a Career Services department with advisors who are trained to help you. They will help you with resume preparation, mock interviews, and job search strategies. You will need to take the lead in being proactive about your job search, but remember that we are here to help!

A: Everyone who is considering applying to career school, technical school, or college should see whether they are eligible for financial aid. To start, you should complete the FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Our Financial Aid advisors can meet with you to help explain this process.
