Massage Therapy Program Students Join Community Partner for Special Event

One of the many benefits of a Harris education is that students get to experience our network of community partners. These partners include local and regional employers who work with us in a number of ways, such as serving as externship sites or consulting on our Advisory Board. In some cases, these partners even hire our graduates!

One very valued partner of our Cherry Hill campus is the Concord Health & Rehabilitation Center, which recently invited Massage Therapy students to a wine and cheese reception to celebrate the opening of their new location in Pennsauken, NJ.

“At the reception, students got to practice massage techniques and maximize their networking opportunities,” explains April Lupinacci, director of the Cherry Hill campus.  “Our partnership with Concord has been very strong,” says Annmarie Rega, director of career services. She continues, “Over the past year, Concord has hired over 10 of our graduates.” These graduates have included students from the Professional Medical Assistant, Health Claims Specialist, and the Massage Therapy program.

Check out some of these success stories of Harris students hired by Concord:

  • Dana Watson, a Massage Therapy graduate, has been promoted to event coordinator, and she hosts events throughout southern NJ to build the business.
  • Deyanna Davis, Kauilani Borges (pictured), Paul Simmons, and Tasha Kelly have all been hired as massage therapists.
