Employers Offer Interviews to Medical Assistants, Massage Therapists, and More
Cherry Hill, NJ. In this digital age, when the process of looking for a job on the Internet can be daunting and impersonal, the opportunity to meet with prospective employers face-to-face can improve your chances of being noticed.
Harris School of Business helps its students make these personal connections by providing job fairs directly on campus. Last month, over 40 students at the Cherry Hill campus of Harris School of Business participated in a job fair with seven employers from the southern New Jersey region.
“Job fairs not only help our students connect with regional employers, but they also help the employers discover the quality of Harris students,” says April Lupinacci, campus director at the Cherry Hill campus.
In attendance at the recent job fair were employers such as Mercy Hospital, Massage Envy, Infinity Staffing, Adecco Staffing, and Citizen’s Bank, to name a few. “The job fair was very successful,” Ms. Lupinacci continues, “A number of students were interviewed right on the spot, and some students were asked to set up formal interviews with the employers at a future date.”
Harris’s Career Services department plays a critical role in helping Harris students find success. By building relationships with the employer community year after year, the Career Services representatives are well-informed about career openings and industry trends, and can effectively help guide students through the job-seeking process.
Harris School of Business has a tradition of providing career-focused education to adults in the fields of allied health and business management. The Cherry Hill campus offers programs in computerized accounting technology, health claims and medical billing courses, legal office technology, massage therapy, and professional medical assistant programs.
As one of the region’s accredited business schools, Harris School of Business operates seven campuses in the Delaware Valley. Some of the program offerings at the other campuses include surgical technology, dental assistant training, and pharmacy and health technician training.
