Harris School of Business in Cherry Hill donates food to the Neighborhood Center in Camden
Cherry Hill, NJ. Embracing the spirit of giving, the students of Harris School of Business decided to run a school-wide food drive in support of the Neighborhood Center in Camden, NJ.
Throughout November and December, students were encouraged to donate non-perishable items that could be used in holiday meal preparation for residents of Camden who may not be able to afford a traditional holiday meal.
“Running a food drive for the Neighborhood Center helped us realize that when we all pitch in, we can make a real difference in the lives of others,” says April Lupinacci, campus director of the Cherry Hill branch of Harris (pictured).
The Neighborhood Center in Camden has been working to support Camden communities since 1913, and provides programs such as preschool, after-school, senior programs, summer programs, and a community kitchen.
“Here at Harris, we are fortunate that our students realize the importance of being a part of their community both during the holiday season, as well as throughout the year,” Lupinacci continues. “In addition to the Neighborhood Center, we also work with organizations such as the Lutheran Home Hospice and the Ronald McDonald House, where our school’s massage therapy students provide free chair massages and hold other fundraising activities.”
As one of the region’s accredited business schools, Harris School of Business operates seven campuses in the Delaware Valley. Founded in 1965, Harris provides career-focused education to adults, specializing in medical assistant programs, medical billing courses, massage therapy courses, dental assistant training, and other career areas.
