A: The surgical technology program at the Harris School of Business is designed to prepare students with the knowledge they need for preoperative environments, medical law and ethics, pharmacology, sterilization, anatomy and physiology. Students also gain a knowledge of OSHA regulations, anesthesia, instrumentation, and communication skills. Medical terminology and specialists are also highlighted. A surgical technology practicum will be offered towards the end of the program.

A: The program may be completed in a year and a half. This is a relatively short amount of time for many healthcare training programs. If you’re diligent with your studies, complete all your assignments on time, and pass your exams, you have the opportunity to graduate within this time frame. A: The Harris School of Business requires that our applicants hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Potential students can start by requesting information online. You can also stop by our Admissions department to fill out an application in person. Student may also go through an admissions review process during which they will fill out an application. Once you enroll, you could begin classes within six weeks.
