Health Claims Specialist Plus

A health claims specialist works as the liaison between patients, insurance companies, and health care providers. They can investigate a claim and resolve discrepancies and subsequent billing issues. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this career field is one of the fastest growing in terms of economic outlook for the next five years. A well-trained health claims specialist can work in a number of settings, including medical offices, hospitals, insurance companies, or managed care providers. Massage Therapy

By working hands-on with muscle tissue, tendons, and ligaments, massage therapists treat patients to relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve general wellness. There are more than 80 types of massage specializations, including cranio-sacral/myofascial release, reflexology, and deep tissue. A therapist will work with a patient based on a medical inquiry intake, and determine treatment goals. Many states require both training and certification for a career as a massage therapist. Professional Medical Assistant Plus

Medical assistants perform a wide variety of clinical, administrative, and human relations functions, which keep physicians’ offices, clinics, and other medical practices running smoothly. This program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, patient care procedures, pharmacology, medical office procedures, communication skills, as well as computer skills. Surgical Technology

This program is designed to prepare the student with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to gain employment as a surgical technician. Students will study all aspects within the field of perioperative services, including but not limited to, medical law and ethics, perioperative environments, pharmacology, sterilization, anatomy and physiology, sterile technique, OSHA regulations, anesthesia, instrumentation, communication skills, medical terminology, and procedures within the medical specialties.
